1) It is deemed as illegal under Section 377 of the Malaysian Penal Code.
2) Any sexual connection relating to the penetration of the penis into the anus or mouth of the other person is said to have committed carnal intercourse against the order of nature.
3) Section 377B of the Penal Code states that if such act is committed, there will be a punishment of whipping and imprisonment for a term up to 20 years.
4) Committing the said crime without consent, or against the will of the other person in fear of death or hurt to the person will be punished with imprisonment of not less than 5 years and not more than 20 years, as well as whipping.
5) Under the Sharia law, the penalties for sodomy and lesbian relations are RM5,000.00 fines, 3 years of imprisonment and 6 lashes of whipping. These penalties can be combined.
