A former sales consultant was sentenced to 24 years in jail for raping young stepdaughter at home on numerous occasions between 2003 until Feb last year. The man who cannot be named in order to protect his identity was given maximum sentence by the judge. The case took a strange twist when both the victim and the man’s wife submitted mitigation letters pleading for a lighter punishment.
