Performance Contracts can be used by the performer themselves, or the performer’s agency. An entertainment venue can use a Performance Contract to protect their interests in terms of scheduling acts and managing cancellations, accidents, illnesses, and other unforeseen events. Here is a sample of basic performance contract.

PERFORMANCE CONTRACT
For and on Behalf of
AA Banquet
1.) This is an agreement made this day______________ ______ 20__ between the undersigned EMPLOYER and the undersigned AA Banquet.
2.) The ARTIST has agreed to perform as AA Banquet for the following agent, now known as the EMPLOYER: ____________________________________________ for and on behalf of the venue.
3.) In this agreement the EMPLOYER promises to make payment to AA Banquetof RM_______________
(In Words) ________________________________ on, before or immediately after the performance.
4.) Which will be at: _____________________________________________, now known as the venue.
5.) Date of Performance will be: _________________________________________
6.) The performance will be from _________ to _________ with breaks.
7.) AA Banquet will not be supplying a personal address system for this performance
8.) Any refreshments are at the EMPLOYERS discretion.
9.) AA Banquet will arrive at the (Venue) no later than ________ and will be provided with adequate changing rooms prior to the performance.
10.) Should this contract be terminated by the EMPLOYER less than four weeks before the performance date, the full contract fee will be paid to AA Banquet no later than two weeks after the performance date.
11.) This agreement commences as of the date below, signed by AA Banquet and EMPLOYER, and shall continue as long as AA Banquet is entitled to any outstanding monies from the EMPLOYER.
12.) In the event of an Outdoor show, inclement weather shall not be deemed a force majeure occurrence, and Employer shall remain liable for the full contracted price, even if the performance(s) called for herein are prevented by such weather conditions. AA Banquet shall the sole right to determine, in good faith whether any such weather conditions shall render the performance impossible, hazardous or unsafe.
